Here are some highlights from the week...
With our passports all ready, we boarded the Room 112 plane and flew to Antarctica! The first graders zipped up their jackets and stamped their passports as we entered our Penguin study lab in Antarctica.
This week in writing we focused a lot on adding sound words, or onomatopoeias, to our writing. We looked at different authors and books that use this text feature and the first graders wrote some great stories!
We added the first President of the United States, George Washington, to our biography journals. During national dental health month the students were shocked to hear about his poor dental health and his set of "teeth." :)
The first graders have been working very hard and we have started using our new technology bundle to do some GoNoodle brain breaks that help us give our "noodles" a break and get them ready to learn! They are loving Maximo, who helps us stretch our bodies and brains in a fun way :)
